A significant step towards strengthening healthcare cooperation in Romblon was taken on September 25, 2024, as the Don Modesto Formilleza Sr. Memorial Hospital (DMFSMH) and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Looc held a coordination meeting and courtesy visit.

The meeting, led by OIC COH II Dr. Renato R. Menrige Jr. and Mayor Atty. Lisette M. Arboleda, focused on establishing protocols for referrals and patient care between the two entities. The DMFSMH team, including medical officers, administrative staff, and the chief nurse, met with the Looc Municipal Mayor’s Office to discuss strategies for seamless collaboration and improved healthcare services.

A key highlight of the meeting was the formation of a strong agreement between DMFSMH and the Looc Municipal Health Officer (MHO) Dr. Mary Anne Gado. This partnership will enhance coordination among healthcare workers in the area, ensuring that patients receive timely and effective care.

In a gesture of support for DMFSMH and its commitment to patient well-being, St. Vincent Ferrer Parish Multipurpose Cooperative (St. Vincent Co-op) donated a 55″ television. This generous gift will be used to promote a Healthy Lifestyle program for patients and improve the overall environment for hospital personnel and staff.

The collaboration between DMFSMH, Looc LGU, and St. Vincent Co-op signifies a positive step towards improving healthcare services in Romblon. By working together, these organizations can ensure that residents have access to quality healthcare and a healthier future.

St. Vincent Co-op’s support for healthcare is a testament to its commitment to improving the lives of its members and the community it serves. Through its various initiatives, the cooperative is helping to create a healthier and more vibrant future for all.
